Recent FA cup winner, Arsenal has announced their latest plan to stay economically afloat no thanks to the covid 19.
This comes at a time when the players and management have all taken pay cuts in the best interest of the club.
Their major sources of revenue including broadcast revenue, match-day takings and commercial activity which have been badly hit.
An official statement read: “Our aim has been to protect the jobs and base salaries of our people for as long as we possibly can,” said a statement signed by head of football Raul Sanllehi and managing director Vinai Venkatesham.
“Unfortunately, we have now come to the point where we are proposing 55 redundancies.”
